Gloryhammer Releases First Single from upcoming New Album

Power Metal stars Gloryhammer have released an animated music video ahead of their highly anticipated fifth album. The band follow the example of many bands these days, who prefer to release either animated or lyric videos. This particular video reminds me of He-Man, once upon a time. "Ultimate Sacrifice" is the first single from Space 1993: Wrath of Kor-Virliath, due out on October 16th via the dependable Napalm Records.

From what I understand, the track tells the epic story of Elder God Kor-Virliath, who returns to conquer the universe following the failed efforts of one Zargothrax and the Space Kingdom of Fife. Lucky for us, the mighty Gloryhammer are here to save the day! The new video was directed by Alex Henderson. I am new to the band, but I like this track. I am getting more into power metal, since I watched Hammerfall live. The track carries the same pomp as those bands. Huge vocal performances over dramatic keyboards, bombastic production and impressive riffs

Space 1993: Wrath of Kor-Virliath! is a sequel to 2015’s Space 1992: Rise of the Chaos Wizards, which tells the saga of the McFife dynasty. In this release, lead vocalist Angus McFife, the Crown Prince of Fife, was last heard on 2022's single "Fly Away". In this story, he flies across the space-time continuum to the future of 1993, where he awaits his fate. Blimey! It sounds more dramatic than the Marvel comic films.  The band produced the album, whilst Jacob Hansen mixed it. He is renowned for his work with Volbeat and Amaranthe
